Colin Budgell wins 11th Annual Grande Meadows Invitational

Colin Budgell of Bally Haly captured the 11th Annual Men’s Invitational Golf Tournament held on Saturday and Sunday with a two day total of 157 from scores of 77 and 80 to win by 3 strokes over Rhodie Smith of Bally Haly who posted a 160 total from scores of 80 and 80. Defending champion Dave Roberts of Bally Haly finished 3rd with a 164 total shooting scores of 83 and 81.

Barry Stacey of Grande Meadows won the A Division Low Net with a two day total of 142 to defeat Tom Curran of Bally Haly by 4 strokes. Curran had a 146.

Jim Farewell of Grande Meadows won B Division Low Gross with a two day total of 167 with scores of 82 and 85 while Bob Banfield of Grande Meadows finished second with a 177 total having shot scores of 89 and 88. Ches Cribb of Grande Meadows took the B Division Low Net with a 147 total while Art Cluett of Grande Meadows finished second with a 150 total.

Justin Hooper of Grande Meadows won the C Divison Low Gross with a with a two day total of 191 from scores of 101 and 90 to win over Wayne Taylor of Grande Meadows who had scores of 93 and 105 for a 198 total. Cyril Abbott of Grande Meadows won the C Division Low Net with a 149 total while Bill Halley of Bally Haly finished 1 stroke back at 150.

It marked the 11th straight year that a golfer from Bally Haly won the Grande Meadows Invitational.
